Ve-design, Inc. provides software and services for real-time product design and development optimization. Ve-design, Inc. was founded May 1999 to commercialize an innovative and patented new technology that has the potential to revolutionize the way products are developed. The technology is based on work by Dr Robert Graves co-founder of Ve-design. Our technology is based on a ten years $12 million research project sponsored by NSF, AT&T and Digital Equipment Corporation at Rensselaer’s Electronics Agile Manufacturing Research Institute.
John Behuniak, CEO and cofounder of Ve-design has more that 25 years of general management, operations and project management experience, including 13 years as a senior manager at Digital Equipment Corporation and five years at General Electric. His background includes service with the US Air Force and Air National Guard as a pilot, instructor pilot and squadron commander. Mr. Behuniak received his Bachelor and Master of Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Mr. Behuniak has authored ten publications.
Robert Graves,
PhD, Chief Technical Officer and
cofounder of Ve-design. He has led the development of the patented
VDE technology. Dr. Graves earned both his M.S.I.E. and Ph.D. from
the department of industrial engineering at State University of New
York at Buffalo. He has led sponsored research in areas of manufacturing
systems, shipbuilding, facilities planning, and information technologies
and has published over 200 technical papers on his findings. He is
a fellow of The Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), a fellow
of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, a Senior Member of the
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers IEEE, a member of
the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences,
associate editor of the Journal of Manufacturing Systems, and was
formerly the US editor of Production Planning and Control. He recently
received the David F. Baker Distinguished Research Award from IIE,
the Reed-Apple Award from the Material Handling Education Foundation,
and the RPI School of Engineering Outstanding Research Professor Award
in 2003.
Mark Phillips, Vice President Sales and Marketing has more than 25 years in sales and marketing. Mr. Phillips background includes; President and Founder Oakrock Development Company, A Corporate Sales Training Company. Vice President Sales & Marketing and Corporate Officer, Barrister Information Systems Corp., Buffalo, NY and 11 years in sales and sales management at Digital Equipment Corporation. He has an M.B.A.; Marketing Specialization Graduated with Honors St. Bonaventure University, B.S. in Business Administration and Psychology, Graduated with Honors , SUNY Fredonia, American Production and Inventory Control Society CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), and United States Marine Corps, President's Own Honor Guard.
Mike Esperti, VP Engineering and cofounder has more that 20 years in software systems development and project management, including 15 years at Digital Equipment Corporation. Mr. Esperti earned his MS Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and BS Computer Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology.
J.J. Liu, Chief
Architect and cofounder leads
software development of the VDE products. He has more that 20 years
in software systems development and project management, including
15 years at Digital Equipment Corporation. Mr., Liu earned his MS
Electrical Engineering University of Southern California, BS Physics
National Taiwan University and was Ph.D. Candidate for two years at
University of Southern California.
